Mother Complex es una serie que aborda la tensión que surge al ser madre y enfrentar el impulso de controlar el camino de los hijos. A través de imágenes íntimas y simbólicas, reflexiono sobre la presencia de la sombra materna en nuestra psique y cómo influye en la construcción de la identidad. El trabajo explora los matices de dominación, deseo e imposición que atraviesan la relación madre-hijo, así como los intentos de liberación e individuación frente a esa fuerza inconsciente que nos habita y nos marca.
Mother Complex is a series that examines the tension of being a mother and confronting the impulse to control the path of one’s children. Through intimate and symbolic imagery, I reflect on the presence of the maternal shadow within our psyche and how it shapes identity. The work explores the nuances of domination, desire, and imposition present in the mother-child relationship, while also addressing the attempts at liberation and individuation in response to this unconscious force that inhabits and defines us.
